Kiaat South Africa has been a true labour of love from the get go. What started out as a simple passion project has evolved into something a lot more meaningful. I've always found that sharing one's creativity can sometimes be daunting. The creative process can often times be wrought with self doubt and hesitation, this tends to keep us in a comfort zone, afraid to share our art. So, I have finally decided to be brave. What's been a passion project of mine I would now love to share with the world, or the very least our magnificent South Africa! and if you're here to just browse I hope my little passion project inspires you to find yours.
FAQ's
Why wood? Well, I absolutely love a raw piece of timber. I feel it holds so much to it. This is nature in her purest and rawest form sharing her unparalleled beauty. MOST of all it reminds me of home and our beautiful country. Each piece is lovingly handcrafted using rare South African hardwoods and resin, a single piece can take up to 5 days to make. A lot of love and time is poured into each and every piece, and I hope that this reflects back. No two pieces are ever the same and each one is completely unique. And so, if you're looking for a gift for yourself or a loved one, a gift to remind you or them of HOME, then I hope you choose one of ours, a little slice of Africa to carry near to you.
Our Woods
All our woods are native to South Africa and sourced from sustainable suppliers. We commonly use the following woods in our jewelry:
Bubinga, Tamboti, Kiaat, Zambezi Teak, Brown Ivory, African Padauk, Wild Olive, Curly Maple.
Every piece we create will feature the wood type under the product description. If you're looking for a specific wood, please keep a look out for the product description.

Handmade Disclaimer
Each piece of jewellery is lovingly handcrafted. It truly is a labour of love. Due to its nature of being handmade it is not perfect in design. Although we try our best to perfect each piece, it will have some irregularities in terms of shape or colour. But this is what makes them unique in character and completely one of a kind.
Our product images are NOT doctored/filtered or edited in order to best reflect the piece. However, please be aware that monitors and phone screens differ in terms of brightness and saturation,as a result the colour of a piece may look slightly different across different devices.
Shipping/Collection
-We offer nationwide shipping across South Africa for a flat rate fee of R90.00
-Free nationwide shipping for order's over R650.00
When will I receive my item/s ?
-Once we receive payment please allow 1 working day for your order to be processed.
-Shipping nationwide: approximately 1 - 3 working days from collection.
-Remote areas (farms, plots, more than a 100km from regional centres): 2 - 5 working days from collection.
